Privacy policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026. This policy covers this website, therapy.balancy.ca. It does not cover your therapy itself: your clinical records are held by your therapist, not by this website.

What this website collects

Consultation requests. When you use our form, we receive your name, email, phone number (if you provide it), the service and therapist you are interested in, your preferred format and times, and anything you write in the message box.
Basic analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how the site is found. Analytics uses cookies and does not tell us who you are.
Server basics. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

How we use it

To reply to your request and match you with a therapist.
Your contact details are shared with the therapist you are matched with, so they can expect your booking.
To improve the website, using aggregate analytics only.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry details for advertising.

Who processes it

Form submissions are delivered to our practice inbox by FormSubmit, a form delivery service. The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Analytics are provided by Google. Each of these providers processes the data needed to do its job, under its own privacy terms.

What this website does not hold

Bookings, intake forms, session notes and payment records are handled on your therapist's own secure, PHIPA-compliant platform and are governed by that therapist's privacy practices and Ontario health privacy law (PHIPA). This website never receives or stores clinical information, and we ask you not to include sensitive health details in the contact form.

Retention

We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to respond, arrange your consultation, and keep a basic record of the enquiry. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you from this website, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@balancy.ca and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
